Moto G8 Power Lite: 3 cameras and a lot of battery for this mid-range smartphone

Motorola today presented in Argentina another member of the long-lived Moto G family, the most successful of the company: the Moto G8 Power Lite.

The team joins the other Moto G8 that Motorola sells in the country: the Moto G8 and G8 Power that arrived in March of this year, and the Moto G8 Plus y G8 Play selling since November 2019.

Like the G8 Power, the Moto G8 Power Lite’s focus is on the battery, which is 5000 mAh. To this great autonomy (two days of use without recharging the phone, according to Motorola) is added the 6.5-inch IPS screen (HD + resolution), an eight-core Mediatek Helios P35 chip, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, expandable with a microSD card.

When it comes to cameras, the Moto G8 Power Lite adds a rear pair: a 16 megapixel main camera with fast focus, and a macro camera to take very close photos (a few centimeters from the lens) to which a depth sensor is added to take photos with the background out of focus. The front camera is 8 megapixels. It has a rear fingerprint sensor, and 10 watt fast charging via microUSB.

The difference with the G8 Power It is on the screen, which is FullHD +, the processor (a Snapdragon 665) and in that it loses the 2x zoom and the wide angle. In the Moto G8 Power Lite the back cover is made of plastic, and it runs Android 9; the G8 Power runs Android 10 and has stereo speakers.

The equipment will be sold in Argentina for 18,999 pesos, in two colors (blueberry and turquoise) in the Motorola store and in the local operators. The Moto G8 Power, for its part, has a local price of 24,999 pesos.
