This topic was written by Sultan Al-Qahtani – More than a year ago, Motorola released the Moto G Play (2023) which features low-end specifications such as a 6.5-inch LCD screen and a resolution of 720 x 1600 with a 90 Hz refresh rate.
This phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G37 chip with 12nm manufacturing technology. There was 3 GB of RAM in addition to 32 GB of expandable storage space.
Now, the next version of the phone is coming soon, as the Moto G Play (2024) has appeared in a set of images on OnLeaks and SMARTmania.
The images show fairly thick bezels (especially the bottom one), and the main camera appears to be getting a nice upgrade to a 50MP sensor, however, it will be the only camera on the back.
While the front camera gets an upgrade and will be supported by an 8-megapixel sensor.
The screen remains the same size at 6.5 inches but offers a higher resolution (1080p), however it will still be an LCD display and will still feature a 90Hz refresh rate.
The Moto G Play (2024) will retain the 5,000 mAh battery like last year’s version but with a charging speed of 15W compared to 10W in the previous model.
While the new version of the phone replaces the MediaTek Helio chip with an unknown Snapdragon chip, it is not known whether the device will support 5G connectivity or not.
