A mum from the English town of Rugby has warned parents against the “random purchase” of baby monitors, saying she had a “terrifying experience” after her device exploded and filled her kitchen with smoke.
What happened?
Mother Shannon Makepeace, 31, told the British newspaper The Sun:
I was baking cakes when the appliance, which was in the kitchen, made a weird noise, and then smoke started coming out of it very quickly.
