Diede de Groot is the reigning Paralympic champion in both singles and doubles. The world’s best player at the moment is now also considered the top favorite for two gold medals. Lizzy de Greef is also participating in both the singles and doubles tournaments. In the doubles, she is an outsider for a medal together with Jinte Bos.
The Paralympic Games will be held between Wednesday 28 August and Sunday 8 September in Paris. The wheelchair tennis tournament starts on Friday 30 August. The draw has shown that Diede de Groot and Lizzy de Greef will only meet each other, in both the singles and doubles tournament, if they both reach the final.
