BARI – Mrs. Franca Lattarulo, 89 years old, mother of the president of the Puglia Region, Michele Emiliano, passed away late on Friday evening at the Bari Polyclinic where she was hospitalized. The funeral will be on Monday 16 October, at 5pm, in Bari in the Church of San Ferdinando.
His other son Alessandro reported the news on Facebook, reporting his last words: “Let me go to dad and be good and honest as you always have been and as I taught you.”
During the night, when Mrs. Franca’s condition appeared irreversible, the family gave consent to organ donation.
Mrs. Franca, who was widowed ten years ago by her husband Giovanni, has often been interviewed by newspapers and television over the last twenty years, describing her life and passions as well as many background stories on her son’s career.
