Pop star Nicki Minaj’s mother has filed suit against the man who killed Minaj’s father. Robert Maraj (64) died in New York last month after suspect Charles Polevich shoveled him with his car at high speed. The man then drove on without providing assistance, several American media write.
Carol Maraj, Nicki Minaj’s mother, thinks Polevich has been negligent. “His behavior was criminal, cowardly and immoral. We will hold him responsible for his reckless actions that led to Robert’s death,” said the family’s lawyer.
Seventy-year-old Polevich is currently out on bail. Police said earlier that the suspect was “absolutely aware of what was happening”.
Nicki Minaj’s family claims damages. It is not known what amount is involved.
