“Mother inflicts repeated abuse and punishment on her four daughters, one of whom is now of age”

For more than eight years, the defendant inflicted repeated abuse and punishment on her four daughters, one of whom is now of age. Insults mingled with physical violence. Among other things, the victims were forced to remain on their knees with their hands in the air or on their heads for long minutes and to copy the same terms several hundred times. Their mother made them take cold showers and two of the victims were forced to eat a spoonful of soap after being rude. The defendant also put the head of one of her daughters in a bag of shavings which contained animal excrement.

Me Laurent, lawyer for the mother of the family, explained that his client reproduced with her daughters the education she herself received and pleaded for probationary conditions.

The lawyer for the father of the children pleaded acquittal for failure to assist a person in danger. When he was present, the father intervened to put an end to what he was witnessing. “However, the law does not punish inadequate aid, but rather total and conscious inertia.”
