Mother Donates Kidney to Daughter in a Life-Saving Act of Love

In an act of love, a mother farmer 40-year-old decided to donate one of his kidneys to his 19-year-old daughter who suffered from chronic renal failure. “I know that all mothers do many things for their children, but she is unique. Thanks to her, for the second time, I have a new life. With this new opportunity, I want to finish my degree and travel with my family,” said Sayuri.

According to EsSalud, Sayuri went to the Ramiro Prialé Prialé hospital once a month to carry out her monthly check-ups. After performing a series of tests, the specialists concluded that Eva María was suitable to donate one of her kidneys to her daughter. “From the moment this possibility was proposed to me, I did not hesitate for a moment to say yes,” said the mother of the family.

Dr. Gustavo Villafuerte Montes, manager of the Junín Assistance Network of isHealthreported that a team of more than 50 professionals from the Organ Transplant Unit, led by Dr. Félix Ortega Álvarez, participated in the intervention.
