entertainment">“Her street had turned into a swirling river and she was rescued by the navy from Den Helder. In a boat, yes, that you have yet to experience it all. We couldn’t go there. But the only way is up, that water is going to drop and we’re going to scrub,” clarifies Daphne.

entertainment">Still, she’s a little worried about the aftermath. “I think we should go buy wellies. […] It’s all mud, river, sewer. Anyway, we’re going to help grandma. My mother is very upset about it. She is alone and 78.” After which she adds that it is all just material.

She then wrote on Instagram: “The ground floor of my mother’s house in Valkenburg is under water, the electricity has gone out, her street has turned into a river, the Geul next to her house is towering, it just keeps on raining, the roads are under water and we cannot go there.”
