A mother and her two children disappeared without a trace in Istanbul. This was reported by her husband, who has been looking for them since Sunday evening. The Turkish and Bulgarian authorities have been informed about the case.
While in Istanbul, Elena, Siyana and Christian go for a walk on Sunday evening and never come back, the children’s father told bTV. Stanislav Stanev claims that there is no reason why his mother and children disappeared without a trace.
“I pray to God that she was angry with me and ran away from me with the children. I hope they are alive and well. But still, three people don’t get kidnapped, they don’t disappear so easily. If the other happened, I wouldn’t last. I will not be able to overcome this loss and there is no point in living anymore,” said Stanislav Stanev, father of Siyana and Christian.
His wife is from Belarus, and the children also have Bulgarian citizenship. The father alerted the Turkish police, and contacted our consulate in Istanbul.
Our Foreign Ministry confirmed to bTV that they are in contact with the father and are assisting him:
“Contact was also established with the General Consulate of Belarus in Istanbul, whose citizen is Mr. Stanev’s wife. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Istanbul will continue to assist within the framework of their competences in the process of clarifying the case and ensuring the safe return of the children to Bulgaria,” stated the MFA.
The woman and two children are expected to be declared missing with a yellow notice by Interpol, and Stanislav hopes to see his wife and their two children.
