Mother and son sent to court after being denounced by the dean they wanted to bribe

Medical student Andrei Bud and his mother were sent to free trial after the dean of the Faculty of Medicine in Brasov, Marius Moga (photo), denounced them for trying to bribe him for illegally passing exams.

The young man is accused of bribery, and his mother, Aurelia Lucica Labina, of complicity in bribery, informs Radio Television Transylvania.

According to the prosecutors, between August 28-30, 2014, the woman repeatedly went to the home of doctor Alexandru Marius Moga, dean of the Faculty of Medicine and holder of the discipline “Obstetrics-Gynecology”, who has the quality of witness in the case.

The student’s mother insisted on talking to the dean and, on August 30, promised him the amount of 1,000 euros to pass her son at the specialized exam “Obstetrics-Gynecology”.

The teacher rejected the offer, and the student failed the exam held in the re-examination session at the beginning of September 2014, not being well enough prepared. On September 4, accompanied by his mother, he went again to the dean’s house, to whom he left an envelope with the amount of 3,000 lei in the mailbox.

In exchange for the money, the dean should have approved the student’s participation in the overdue session, although he had not been promoted to the previous re-examination session, which is prohibited by university regulations.

The teacher rejected the offer and denounced the two.
