The last time 17-year-old Tylee Ryan and her younger brother Joshua “JJ” Vallow were seen alive was on September 8, 2019.
Then they were on a trip to Yellowstone National Park. The children were reported missing by their grandparents, and the police only began to suspect when the children’s mother Lori Vallow did not appear in court.
Observed in Hawaii without the kids
It turned out that Vallow had gone to Hawaii with his new husband, the religious leader and author Chad Daybell, who has written several books on the preparations for Doomsday. The children were not with them.
Police searched for the children for nine months before making the tragic discovery. The remains of two people were found buried on the property of Chad Daybell. Thought the children were dead alive
Vallow and Daybell were arrested shortly afterwards and have since been remanded in custody, charged with withholding information and neglect. They are now formally charged with premeditated murder.
“We have good reason to believe that the couple knowingly and intentionally killed these innocent people,” said prosecutor Lindsey Blake. BBC.
According to the police, a possible motive must be connected to the doomsday prophecy the couple was concerned with preparing for. According to Vallow’s friend Melanie Gibb, Vallow said that the children had become living dead.
