sergap.id, LARANTUKA – The death of Maria Molan (67), a resident of Riangkamie, East Flores Regency, on Friday (12/11/21), due to being electrocuted by an electric current coming from a PLN cable pole, made the victim’s family demand that PLN be responsible.
Daton, a legal advisor to the victim’s family, said that the loss of the mother of 7 children not only left a deep sorrow, but also angered the family.
This is because the case of electric shock is not the first time this has happened. A similar thing was experienced by one of the deceased’s children when passing through the same place. Luckily the child survived.
“At the same crime scene, Mama Maria Molan died. This is PLN’s negligence,” said Daton.
“I’m wondering, with the two incidents yesterday, has PLN carried out professional checks and supervision? Should be professional, this is negligence and perfunctory. They don’t play. There have been casualties,” he said.
Daton said that the case of Mama Maria Molan’s death had been reported to the East Flores Police and recorded with the Police Report number (LP): B/283/XI/2021/SPKT/East Flores Police/East Nusa Tenggara Police, on 12 November 2021.
This was confirmed by the Head of Public Relations of the East Flores Police, Ipda. Sanus Anwar.
After the rain, the victim Maria Molan was walking home through the elementary school stairs where there was an electric pole near the stairs. The distance from the stairs to the electric pole is about 3 meters.
When passing, the victim’s body was suddenly pulled up towards the pole, and bounced with clenched fists towards the support cable. The victim died instantly at the scene. (mr/mr)
