The music streaming app has been delighting fans with custom breakdowns for a few years now, with 2022 offering insight into your top genres, songs and artists along with a unique magazine and listening personality.

Most streamed artists on Spotify 2022 worldwide
Here are the top five artists who streamed the most on Spotify worldwide this year:
- bad bunny
- Taylor Swift
- Canard
- The weekend
- BTS extension
When it comes to the UK, the most streamed artist is global megastar Taylor Swift.
The creator of “Midnights” was followed by Drake, Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles, Kanye West and The Weeknd.

Most Streamed Songs on Spotify 2022 in UK
Former One Direction star Harry Styles had the most played song in the UK this year.
The “Watermelon Sugar” singer was followed by Glass Animals with the song “Heat Waves” and Dave’s song “Starlight”.
Other Brits to make the list include Sam Fender, Kate Bush, Ed Sheeran and Scottish production duo LF System.

Oxford band Glass Animals, Manchester and Brixton rappers Aitch and Dave also made the top 10.

When does the wrapped Spotify count start?
As we say goodbye to 2022, listeners have started to wonder when next year’s Spotify Wrapped data collection will begin.
Spotify Wrapped starts counting from January 1st of each year and collects your listening data until October 31st.
This means that everything you listen to between November and December (including your favorite holiday songs) will not be present (unless you party very soon!).
Spotify Wrapped 2023 will release strongly towards the end of November or beginning of December.
The 2022 edition was released on November 30, while Wrapped was released on December 1, 2021.
