Buying a used car always comes with many unknown variables, including the vehicle’s maximum lifespan.
Especially for fans of the products of the Czech brand Skoda, the German expert organization DEKRA has prepared its own rating with the most reliable models of this automaker, finding out which of them have the lowest chance of breaking during the first 100 thousand kilometers.
Skoda Superb
In terms of reliability, the best Skoda for purchase in used condition turned out to be Suberb.
According to the calculations of German analysts, this model has only a 6% chance of serious failure during the first 100 thousand kilometers. Moreover, the average figure in the class in which this model is presented is 8.3%.
Skoda Yeti
Excellent reliability is demonstrated by the hybrid minivan with the Yeti crossover, which during the first 100 thousand km of its service life has a chance of encountering a serious breakdown in only 7.8% of cases. This is 2.5 percent lower than the class average.
Skoda Octavia
One of the best sellers of the Czechs, including in Russia, which is a benchmark in its segment in terms of space inside and trunk, as well as quality, technology and safety, it also boasts an excellent reliability indicator.
The probability of experiencing an expensive breakdown during the first 100 thousand kilometers in the case of the Octavia, according to DEKRA calculations, is 11.8%.
Skoda Fabia
Another famous car in the Skoda line, which can surprise with reliability that exceeds the average in its class.
Owning a Fabia, the chance of getting expensive repairs in the first 100 thousand km is only 13.9%, while on average in the segment this figure is as much as 18.2%.
