Jaromir Jagr is the all-time leading scorer in professional ice hockey.
That is clear since the 51-year-old scored his 1099th competitive goal (club and national team) when he netted for the Kladno Knights on Sunday in a 5-4 loss against Trinec in the Czech. He thus passes Wayne Gretzky in total competition goals.
Jagr was also credited with an assist.
Jagr’s goals are divided into 844 in the regular season and playoffs in North America, 93 in the Russian league/KHL, 107 in the Czech and Czechoslovakian leagues and 55 in international contexts – including the Olympics, World Cup, WC and Euro Hockey Tour.
Gretzky’s goals are divided into 1072 goals in the regular season and playoffs in North America and 26 in international contexts.
