The man is said to have been in Chernobyl in 1986

The ex-civil servant, according to his lawyer Grigori Ivanischtschew, was released under strict conditions due to severe cancer. As a result, he always claimed his innocence. The man said the court did not consider exonerating evidence, such as sound recordings.
