Moscow has given up on the privatization of hospitals –

/ world today news/ “This morning, the Minister of Health <a href="http://www.world-today-news.com/petar-moskov-will-offer-kubrat-pulev-to-enter-politics-politics-bulgaria-nova-news/" title="Petar Moskov will offer Kubrat Pulev to enter politicsPoliticsBulgaria – NOVA News”>Petar Moskov, in front of everyone at the Presidential Council, made a commitment to withdraw this draft law, which provides for the privatization of hospitals, in order to seek support in all other areas to reform the system as much as possible. This was said by Prime Minister Boyko Borisov during of blitz control in the NS.

Within a few years, health care costs are rising by billions. We spend over BGN 4 billion as a state, about BGN 8 billion go into the hospital system, huge sums. The leakages in the treasury, the paths in the private hospitals are the subject of this reform. In the coming days we will debate. I support what Moscow said this morning, that it will withdraw this particular part, so that there is no tension in other spheresadded Borisov.

He recalled the headlines in the newspapers that they had run out of money for medicines for cancer patients, etc. diseases and added that people are not satisfied at the moment with what is offered to them as a service in health care.

In addition to Borisov himself, the ministers of health, Petar Moskov, and the minister of labor and social policy, Ivaylo Kalfin, came to Tsetska Tsacheva this morning. They have argued the need for pension and health reform. Representatives of all parliamentary groups were also invited to the meeting.

During the presidential council, an appeal was made by the petitioners that all groups accept the changes in the Law on medical facilities and in the Social Security Code, reports BGNES. The BSP raised the question of withdrawing the entire chapter on the privatization of hospitals, and in response, Moscow answered that this is possible.

Boyko Borisov himself did not make any comment before leaving the parliament. Health Minister Petar Moskov said a few words about the talks, quoted by BNR:

Before the summer recess of the parliament, important legislative initiatives of the government in the field of social activity and in the field of health care should be placed on the agenda of the parliament and we should seek support from the various parliamentary groups.
I will hardly take the liberty of paraphrasing the Prime Minister, but he sought support for the important bills in these two areas, because these are changes that do not just decide something from today to tomorrow, but actually provide the long-term strategic framework for how the finances will move, the health and social security of Bulgarians
.

Minister Moskov did not answer which of the parliamentary groups expressed support for the reforms, but emphasized that the conversation was constructive. Prime Minister Borissov left the meeting without commenting, adds the national radio.

After the meeting, Ataka expressed dissatisfaction with the proposals. Party leader Volen Siderov stated:

If these ideas are true, that the Ministry of Health is moving towards the privatization of health facilities, hospitals, we are against it. On the contrary, our view of “Ataka” is the exact opposite, that there should be state health care, that hospitals should be returned to a status not of commercial companies, as they are now, but to be fully state-owned, on a budget. We are not going to a welfare state in the way the Constitution says, we are going to a neoliberal, Latin American type of state.

It became clear that the prime minister had ordered Moskov and Kalfin to meet with the nationalists and introduce them to their reform ideas, as “Attack” complained that they were learning about them from the media.

The co-chairman of the Patriotic Front Krasimir Karakachanov said that the prime minister and the ministers called for support at the presidential council.

The appeal was to all parliamentary groups to support these two bills. There were notes from some of the colleagues, for example, BSP raised the question of withdrawing the entire chapter on the privatization of hospital facilities. The minister said it was possiblesaid Karakachanov.

Today is the deadline (July 1) for patriots to announce whether they will withdraw their support for the government. Earlier today, PF co-chairman Valeri Simeonov announced on BNT that the patriots will announce their final decision by Friday.
