Moscow expects all Turkish Stream permits from Ankara – 2024-08-02 09:26:28

In response to a question about whether the ministry agreed with Turkey on the “roadmap” for the implementation of “Turkish Stream”, Novak answered: “No, consultations are still ongoing. He added that work is currently underway on a bilateral legal agreement, within which the “road map” will also be agreed. Some time ago, Alexander Novak said that he expects the intergovernmental agreement on the project to be signed in October.

At the beginning of the month, the head of Gazprom, Alexey Miller, said that the Turkish side is reviewing the decisions on the previous South Stream project in order to proceed with the Turkish Stream and the construction of the sea section of the gas pipeline from the Russian coast to the Turkish coast.

On September 7, Gazprom announced that it had received the first permits from Ankara for “Turkey Stream” and now the project is entering the stage of practical implementation.

A week later, Gazprom announced that through diplomatic channels it had received Turkey’s first permit for the construction of the sea section of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline within the preparatory procedures for resuming the project. /RIA-News
