Chaos in the registration
It is difficult for the researchers to properly map the situation in nursing homes because the registration of vaccinations is still chaotic. One nursing home has it registered in the medication system, another in the electronic patient file and another only on paper. “At least ten systems are used, which really hinders us in doing research,” says Cees Hertogh.
The analysis of the figures was done on the basis of data in which data on vaccination could be linked to data on the number of infections. “We have data, but if registration had been centrally managed, we would have had much more at our disposal.”
