Mortal Kombat 1 Patch Notes: Gameplay Adjustments and Character Fixes

If you’re planning on playing Mortal Kombat 1 later today, you’re going to encounter a pretty heavy patch that changes things up quite a bit. This includes fixing a very strange bug that caused player one to gain a combo advantage over player two.

But there’s a lot of other stuff that’s been changed as well, both for individual characters and overall gameplay.You can check out belowComplete list, to see everything that has been adjusted. Unfortunately, the patch isn’t available for Switch, but we hope it comes out soon.

• General gameplay adjustments
Move list correction
Localization fixes
Fixed an issue that could cause Player 2 to push the opponent further away during certain combo sequences
Fixed an issue that could cause buffered Kombo attack strings and buffered 2-in-1 cancelable non-enhanced special moves to not execute if a cancelable or branched Turtle Tail Ambush attack was performed at a specific time
Fixed an issue that caused certain Stryker’s & Sektor’s attacks to be unbreakable

• Character specific adjustments
Ashrah – Fixed an issue that could cause squeeze knees (toward + back kick) to go through the opponent when attacking
Goro (Kameo) – Stampede and his partner’s attacks now take higher priority when they hit the same frame
Hawk – Rotten Guard (back punch, front punch) and Flesh Wound (back punch, back punch) no longer auto-face
Jax (Cameo) – Ground Pound now has higher priority when it hits the same frame as his partner’s attack
Kung Lao – Kung-Kussion now automatically faces when finishing on the landing pad after jumping over an opponent
Shujinko (Kameo) – Mimic Ice Clones and Ice Balls will no longer be duplicated by opponents hit by Time Stop

• Fixed an issue where the following attacks would not work on high parry special moves
Ashrah
The Wrath of God and the Wrath of the Devil are now highly parryable
Light Ascension and Dark Ascension now have high parry
Baraka
(Air) Death Spin can no longer be parried too high
Reflex tester (back + front punch) can no longer parry high
The second hit of Bleeding Kick (back+front kick) can no longer be parried high.
General Shao
Power Strike now has high parry
Fixed parry inconsistency between Destroyer and Krasic Kahn.Neither of them can resist anymore
Johnny Cage
Ball Breaker can now parry high
Rising Star can now parry high
Shadow Kick is now highly parryable
Frequently
Sentou’s posture is lost (front punch + back punch, back punch, front punch) and the parry can no longer be high
Kung Lao
Knee buckle (back kick + front kick) can now be high parried
Li Mei
(Air) Flip Heel Kick can no longer be parried higher
Unblocked (back + front kick, back kick) can no longer parry.
Late
Strengthened bad blood can no longer resist higher
Raiden
Electric flies and (aerial) electric flies can no longer be parried easily.
Rain
Enhanced upstream traffic cannot be parried anymore
Geysers can no longer be resisted
Reptile
The death roll can no longer be resisted
The fallen fangs can no longer be easily parried.
Scorpion
Twisted Kyo can now parry high
Shang Tsung
The old form of goal kick (forward + font kick) can no longer be parried high
Sindel
Enhanced Low Hair Ball first hit (kick attack) now has high parry
Sub-Zero
The ice slide can no longer be resisted
Tanya
Drill Kick is now highly parryable
