Mortal Kombat 1: No Cross-Platform Play at Launch – A Concern for Gamers

Mortal Kombat 1’s release is only a few days away, and early access players will be able to get their hands on it quickly. But if you and your partner on another platform are hoping to beat each other’s brains out, you might have to wait a while.

As confirmed by a new post on Twitter/X, Mortal Kombat 1 will not have cross-platform play at launch. The feature will be added later, though, so it’s more of a when than a if. Mortal Kombat 11 is in a similar situation, but it still worries some fans.

That said, PC players hope they don’t fall behind again. In Mortal Kombat 11, cross-platform play is only available on consoles, meaning those with a mouse and keyboard are forced to play the game on ever-dwindling numbers. This is really bad practice and shows a lack of care for PC gamers. It seems like they might be left behind again, but hopefully there’s a chance for PC cross-play.

Which platform will you play Mortal Kombat 1 on?
