Morsi was born in the city of Zagazig in February 1921, and wrote his first poem in the lamentation of his teacher, and began his career as a fruit merchant like his father, and in 1939 his first song “The Butterfly” was broadcast, composed by Riyad Al-Sunbati, and his fame began in the same year when Abdulaziz Mahmoud sang to him, “Ya Mazouq.” O roses in a oud”, and then his creative journey began.
