The players called up include Arnau Tenas and Joan García in goal; Eric García, Marc Pubill, Jon Pacheco, Miguel Gutiérrez, Pau Cubarsí and Juan Miranda in defence; Turrientes, Adrián Bernabé, Pablo Barrios and Aimar Oroz in midfield; and Sergio Gómez, Diego López, Samu Omorodion and Abel Ruiz up front.
Morocco, meanwhile, is returning to the Olympics twelve years after its last participation in London. This is its eighth Olympic participation, and its best previous result was reaching the second round in 1972. Among its most notable players are Betis’ Abde Ezzalzouli and Paris Saint Germain’s Achraf Hakimi. Morocco reaches the Semi-Finals after beating USA 4-0 in the Quarterfinals.
