PARIS, France, July 30, 2024 / – The joint bid of Morocco, Portugal and Spain to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup™ has reached an important milestone with the submission of the complete bid file officially joined FIFA at an event held at the FIFA. offices in Paris.
The official application file was submitted to FIFA President Gianni Infantino by the Presidents of the three candidate football federations: Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Fernando Gomes, President of the Ball Federation -football Portugal, and Álvaro de Miguel, General Secretary of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, on behalf of President Pedro Rocha.

A huge effort has already been made during the campaign to promote this vision, with the candidate gaining tens of thousands of followers on social media.
By bringing two continents together, this application opens a new page in the century-old history of the FIFA Men’s World Cup™. To celebrate this, the bid aims to build bridges between cultures, provide a welcoming environment for fans and visitors from all backgrounds, and leave a real legacy of sustainability, innovation, investment and social impact.
Detailing the application vision and technical design, including transportation, accommodation and proposed infrastructure for the 2030 FIFA World Cup™, the completion of the application file represents a milestone -mileage for advocacy efforts. The full application file will be published by FIFA in due course.
The bid is supported by an impressive group of ambassadors, including football legends from each country – Luis Figo, Andres Iniesta and Nourredine Naybet – and the legend Emmanuel Adebayor, as well as top players from national teams current men and women: Cristiano Ronaldo, Achraf Hakimi, Dolores Silva, Ghizlane Chebbak, Alvaro Morata, Irene Paredes and Yassine Bounou.
