The telephone conversation between the King and the President of Nigeria focused on the Nigeria-Morocco African-Atlantic gas pipeline project.
The King of Morocco Mohammed VI today had a telephone conversation with the President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu. This was reported by the Moroccan news agency “Map” which published a note from the Royal Palace of Rabat. This discussion focused on the positive dynamics of bilateral relations in recent years.
In particular, the construction works of the Nigeria-Morocco gas pipeline were discussed which should begin in 2024, as announced by the Nigerian Minister of Petroleum Resources, Ekperikpe Ekpo.
The conversation therefore focused on the African-Atlantic Nigeria-Morocco gas pipeline project, “a structuring project that will constitute a strategic lever for regional integration and economic and social development for all West African countries, they said from Rabat.
In this context, Mohammed VI invited the President of Nigeria to make an official visit to Rabat, the dates of which will be communicated through diplomatic channels.
