The Moroccan team arrived yesterday in our country for its participation in the El Salvador Beach Soccer Cup 2024, which will begin tomorrow at the Costa del Sol National Stadium.
With Morocco, the eight teams were completed, four in men and the same number in women, who will seek the title in the beach competition organized by the National Sports Institute of El Salvador (INDES) in coordination with Beach Soccer Worldwide.
“Our expectation is to win the tournament, we are going to take the opportunity to rest because we come from a very long trip and tomorrow we will get ready for the first game and try to win it,” said Ibrahim Abagli, who plays as a defender.
At the San Óscar Arnulfo Romero International Airport, the Moroccan national team players were received by Aouad Ibn El Fakih, counselor of the Moroccan Embassy in El Salvador.
The African team will face the United States, Switzerland and El Salvador in the men’s division. The debut of the African team will be this Thursday at 8:00 pm against El Salvador.
“We have seen some videos of some games, but tonight we are going to finish analyzing others because it is the first time we play against El Salvador and the coach is going to update us. El Salvador is a very good team, we respect them a lot and we are going to see what happens,” said Abagli.
The selection of the integration: Brahim Essakali, Ayoub El Hichou, Driss Ghannam, Oubahri Adnan, Anouar Elabbassi, Reda Zahraoui, M’Hamed Manar, Badr El Kraichly, Zouhair Jabbary, Amibe El Bidouri, Yassir Abada, Ibrahim Abagli, Oumar Sylla ( coach) and Mohamed Ouarrak (manager).
“We have just won the Mufasa Cup in South Africa, a very demanding and very physical tournament,” added Brahim Abagli.
