Morocco: Interpol meeting in Marrakech

Marrakech will host the 93rd session of the general assembly

Morocco has been chosen to host the 93rd session of the General Assembly of the International Criminal Police Organization, Interpol.

The decision was made today in Vienna. Marrakech has been earmarked to host the General Assembly of the International Criminal Police Organization in 2025.

Interpol’s highest governing body, the General Assembly is made up of delegates appointed by the governments of its member countries.

It meets once a year and takes all important decisions relating to general policy, resources needed for international cooperation, working methods, finances and programs of activities. These decisions are made in the form of resolutions.

Morocco is considered one of the countries at the forefront in the fight against terrorism and criminal gangs operating in Africa and enjoys excellent cooperative relations with the police forces of European countries and the United States.
