Morocco has gone green

Morocco owes its transition from orange to green to several factors such as the national vaccination campaign which led to the adoption of the “vaccine pass” for travel and access to public places, said the minister.

According to figures put forward by Khalid Ait Taleb, the number of people who received at least one dose of vaccine is 24,053,942, or more than 64% of the population, while 21,835,545 received both doses, or more than 57.6% of Moroccans. About 1,263,441 people received a third booster dose.

Even with the indicators that have turned green, the minister calls for vigilance and compliance with preventive measures, in order to avoid a relapse. He insisted that Morocco always remains under the threat of a new wave, due to the appearance of a new variant. This is the reason why, he stressed, vigilance must be required to achieve the desired collective immunity, synonymous with a return to normal life.
