Morocco has curfews from 6pm during Ramadan | Abroad

Scientists reported the discovery of a new, local variant of the corona virus on Wednesday. Despite an energetic vaccination program, infections in Morocco, especially in the capital Casablanca, are rising considerably.

Yet many Moroccans are furious about the curfew. They believe that small restaurants, eateries and cafes are now being completely destroyed.

The curfew in Morocco has been in place for times from 6 pm to 6 am, but the pain will be felt especially during Ramadan. Eating and drinking is prohibited during the day. Entrepreneurs depend on the evening hours when Moroccans flock to the eateries – at least, usually.
