Morocco Defeats Brazil in First Post-Qatar World Cup Test Match

The Moroccan national football team succeeded in its first test after the historic participation in the World Cup Qatar 2022, by defeating the Brazilian national team 1-2 in a friendly match, on Saturday, at the Grand Stadium in Tangier.

Morocco’s goals were scored by Sofiane Boufal (29) and Abdel-Hamid Sabiri (79), while Casemiro scored Brazil’s only goal (67).

The Atlas Lions team achieved a historic achievement during its participation in the World Cup, after it reached the semi-finals, and became the first Arab and African team to reach this role.

The friendly match between Morocco and Brazil is part of the preparatory matches that the Moroccan national team will play in preparation for the African Cup qualifiers in Ivory Coast in 2024.

The Brazilian national team, which has won the World Cup five times, tops the FIFA rankings, while Morocco ranks 11th in the world rankings.
