Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) wants to discuss how to proceed with the corona pandemic with the prime ministers of the federal states in the coming week. The CDU General Secretary Paul Ziemiak confirmed. The reason is the concern about the variant of the corona virus that has appeared in Great Britain. Merkel wanted to talk to the Prime Minister not only about extending the current lockdown, but also about more stringent measures. Originally the next federal-state meeting was not supposed to take place until January 25th.
