The US is ready to transfer 300 combat armored vehicles to Greece
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published an operational summary from the front. It is reported that the Russians are trying to attack in five directions and are shelling Slavyansk.
This is what the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine wrote on Facebook, “Strana” reports.
Here are the main details from the statement of the Ukrainian command:
– The Russian army continues its attempts at offensive actions in the Liman, Bakhmut, Avdeev, Mariinsky and Shakhtyor directions.
– Offensives were carried out in Dvukhletnaya, Dibrova and Serebryansk mines (Kupyan and Liman areas), Minkovka and Orekhovo-Vasilevka (Bakhmut areas), Krasnogorovka, Kamenka, Severni, Nevelskoe, Mariinka, Pobeda and Ugledar (Mariin, Avdeev and Shakhtyor areas). .
– The Russian army carried out a missile attack on the civil infrastructure of Slavyansk, 4 airstrikes and carried out about 20 shelling from MLRS.
– The Ukrainian aviation has struck the enemy’s anti-aircraft missile complex, as well as 6 strikes on the areas of concentration of its personnel and military equipment. Artillery and rocket launchers struck a command post, 2 areas of concentration of personnel, combat equipment and ammunition of the enemy.
According to the publication Ptisi Diastima, the US is ready to transfer to Greece 300 M2A2 ODS Bradley (TOMA) armored fighting vehicles to replace the BMP-1 and M113 that the country provides for the needs of Ukraine.
As the publication reports, the BMPs must be handed over in good condition so that they can be relatively quickly integrated into the motorized units of the Greek army.
The US has estimated the amount needed to perform a factory inspection and restore the Bradley to full working order. This amount is about 1 million euros for one BMP, or about 300 million euros for all 300 machines.
It is likely that the value of the equipment that Greece sends to Ukraine will be deducted from this amount.
The Russian military has destroyed more than 150 soldiers of the armed forces of Ukraine in three directions.
As reported by the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov, quoted by world publications, the fighters of the “Center” group struck the manpower and equipment of the enemy in the Krasnolimansk direction, and “Vostok” – near the southern part of Donetsk and Zaporozhye.
“Up to 100 Ukrainian servicemen, one armored fighting vehicle, four pickup trucks, a D-30 howitzer and a self-propelled artillery mount ‘Gvozdika’ were destroyed in the Krasnolimansk direction,” says Konashenkov.
He also reported that in the South-Donetsk and Zaporizhia areas, Russian fighters from the “Vostok” group destroyed more than 50 soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, two armored combat vehicles, four vehicles and one D-30 howitzer.
