This Friday (2), Coritiba faced Remo for the ninth round of Serie B, at Couto Pereira, and won 2-1. The victory was the fifth consecutive in the competition. Now, the Thigh occupies the second place in the table and is two points away from Náutico, the first place. After the match, coach Gustavo Morínigo commented on the match, which in his view presented difficulties.

“It was a more complicated game, I think in the first half they worked well, imposed speed, we didn’t find a way. In the second half we started much better, we took advantage of our opportunity, but it was complicated by their goals. But what matters is always winning”, analyzed the coach.
Afterwards, the coach made a point of emphasizing that the group is going through a moment of transformation, caused by the defeat of Flamengo. Morínigo highlighted the collective spirit and the way the cast has faced the pressure: “It was a willingness of all together. Players, commission, board, the whole team that we have to focus and start again after the game against Flamengo. And football will always be pressure, when you win, if you lose, there is always pressure. Those who don’t know how to live with pressure are not good for that“.

The match had an extra-field element. According to the UmDois Sports portal, the cast didn’t concentrate to face Remus. This decision was a protest on account of image rights delays. The report also points out that the decision was taken at a meeting before training on Thursday (1). The players showed up at the hotel only this Friday (2), at lunchtime, the day of the match.
The club denies that there were protests. Through its advisory, Coritiba stated that there was no concentration due to logistics, as the players were traveling for a week due to the rounds of the Brazilian Championship.
