Moreno encourages receiving the third or fourth dose of the Covid vaccine in the face of the “worrying” situation in China

The President of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, this Saturday called for “prudence and responsibility” in the face of the “worrying” situation that is being experienced in China three years after the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic and encouraged Andalusians to make an appointment to get the third or fourth dose of the vaccine.

Moreno made this appeal during his traditional end-of-year message, that this 2022 has been postponed to New Year’s Eve itself and that he made by the Piqualia olive cooperative, in Bailén (Jaén), in recognition of one of the economic sectors , the agriculture, which is most directly affected by the effects of drought and rising production costs.

«2022 was a complex year. Last Christmas, without going any further, there were restrictions due to the pandemic and with everyone’s effort we managed to overcome this situation and live this Christmas with a certain normality”, assured the Andalusian chief executive, and then asked the citizens who “do not trust ourselves”.

Moreno stressed that “Andalusia has given more than 20 million vaccines, more than anyone else in Spain and more than many countries, but there are many people who have not received the third dose”, which is why he recalled that “everyone the ones you can make an appointment to get the third or fourth shot of the vaccine.” And I suggest you do that,” he urged.

The prime minister expressed his concern about “the situation that is unfolding in China three years later and is healing
in health it never hurts”, for which he asked the population for “prudence and responsibility” and offered the Spanish government “the best disposition in Andalusia to anticipate what could happen”.

“I am very aware of the health issues”

Moreno also alluded in his end-of-year message to the situation of the toilets and their work in the fight against Covid. “I’m aware, very aware, of the problems that health care has, some
problems that have been dragging on for many years”, he assured that he defended the “continuous commitment” of his government that “we will continue to make in the next four years” and which allows us to “say today that health is better than in 2019”.

“We have increased the salaries of health personnel by an average of 14% and we have renewed the contracts of the 12,000 reinforcement professionals we have hired due to Covid”, said Moreno, who congratulates himself because “the pandemic is over, but the professionals have remained in the system and no other autonomous community can say the same”, which allows that “today, in Andalusian public health there are more doctors and more nurses than ever”.
