Mexico City, Morena in the Chamber of Deputies announced that it is reviewing with the Senate, whether there is time to correct the errors and inconsistencies detected in the reforms to the general laws of the System of Means of Impeachment and Electoral Institutions and Procedures, which regulate the election of judges, magistrates and ministers.
This morning the chamber held a 15-minute session to publicize the two opinions approved last night by the Justice Commission, and a second session was called for 1:00 p.m., where the discussion will take place, which is expected to last for ten hours.
The PRI took the opportunity to introduce a funeral wreath into the session hall with a ribbon that read: “Justice has died.” The floral arrangement was placed at the foot of the stands. The PRI coordinator, Rubén Moreira, explained why they brought the settlement to the plenary session: “Today democracy died and justice died in this country.”
In an interview, the coordinator of the cherry bench, Ricardo Monreal Ávila, said that the errors in both texts will be reviewed “and what is appropriate will be made… the corrections that are deemed appropriate and can be made.”

He recalled that, in accordance with the deadlines established in the constitutional reform regarding the Judiciary, the legal changes must be published no later than tomorrow, so that the Senate can issue the call for the election.
“This law is intended to be approved before the call is issued for the election, which will occur on Wednesday. “There is only today and tomorrow,” he said.
He explained that he is reviewing the times with the senators “to see if they have possibilities, in the case of modifying this type of amendments to the opinion, to see if we can achieve it.
“I say, let’s see. Always in transitional times there is a general prevention, it is always said ‘anything that contradicts or opposes this decree is repealed’. In general terms, by legislative technique, they would be repealed with what will be approved at the last moment.”
However, he agreed that “the neatest thing is to eliminate all contradictions, legislative inconsistencies. They have to be corrected.”
