According to a review of the PEF 2021 decree and the annexes, no item or item destined for the purchase of the vaccine was detected, despite the fact that the 33 billion pesos withdrawn were already added to next year’s expenditure of the Health Fund for Well-Being.
In the review, two items were found in Annex 13 of Expenditures for Equality of Women, under the heading of vaccination program, for the amount of 449 million 308 thousand 724 pesos, and another in Annex 18 of Resources for Care for the Protection of Girls, Boys and Adolescents, in the section for the vaccination program, with 2 thousand 42 million 312 thousand 382 pesos.

In total for vaccination in the PEF 2021, 2,491 million 621,106 pesos were labeled, but these resources will be used for the cadre of regular vaccinations that are applied in the Health sector: chickenpox, human papilloma, measles, rubella, hepatitis, diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis, among others.
Even the PEF 2020, in the vaccination program items of annexes 13 and 18, was labeled 2,429,318,118 pesos, a figure similar to that granted in the document recently approved for 2021.
However, those amounts are well below the 1.6 billion dollars that the Covid-19 vaccine will cost, and that is approximately 33 billion pesos, estimated federal officials.
