The deputy of the National Regeneration Movement (Morena) for district 03 of Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, went viral on social media due to an error during his performance of the Grito de Independencia. And it is that instead of mentioning the name of Josefa Ortiz de Domínguez, he mentioned the name of Josefa Ortiz de Pinedo.
“Long live Josefa Ortiz de Pinedo!” she shouted to the audience at her event while waving the Mexican flag in her hands. However, in the following seconds she realized her mistake, so she made a correction on the microphone. On this occasion, it was necessary for a member of the audience to remind her of the correct surname, although she shouted “Long live Josefa Ortiz… de Domínguez!”
