Three Boeing CH-47 Chinook and Boeing AH-64 Apache made a refueling stop at Dresden Airport on Thursday afternoon.
It is not yet known whether they will actively intervene in the war in Ukraine. Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy (44) has officially requested help from the United States. This has not yet been specifically promised.
In the past few days and weeks, military aircraft have repeatedly been seen over the Saxon Elbe valley, including the well-known “Black Hawks” – Sikorsky UH-60M transport helicopters.

The Chinook is also a transport helicopter. The machines with counter-rotating rotors, which were first mass-produced in 1962, were already used in the Vietnam War.
