If you regularly travel by car, you have undoubtedly noticed that there is a lot of freight traffic, a lot of freight traffic. According to figures from the Flemish Traffic Center, this is 5 to 13% more than before corona. “Since the summer of last year, there has been an unexpectedly high demand for furniture, electronics and sports equipment,” says Theo Notteboom, transport economist at the University of Antwerp. “We are also increasingly ordering online.”
