New troubles from China for Suning. The colossus Evergrande, as reported by local media and taken up by today’s edition of Tuttosport, would be close to bankruptcy, crushed by a debt of 84 billion euros. A problematic situation also for Suning, which in 2017 provided Evergrande with capital equal to 2.6 billion euros. The difficulties that subsequently arose had prompted the Zhang family to freeze their share, which would now be worth only 500 million compared to 2.6 billion (more than 2 billion gone up in smoke, therefore). In this case, the Chinese government is unlikely to intervene with a rescue operation.
