More than twenty people are stuck for six hours in the Euromast lift at night NOW

In the night from Thursday to Friday, more than twenty people were trapped for at least six hours in the elevator at the top of the Euromast in Rotterdam, reports RTV Rijnmond. Around 4.30 pm the people were released from the glass elevator.

Due to a malfunction, the revolving elevator, from which you can look out over Rotterdam, no longer went down. Around midnight the emergency services had to be called in by the staff of the watchtower.

Eventually the engineers managed to get the lift down manually after a few hours. A spokesperson for the fire brigade says RTV Rijnmond that the occupants of the lift were mostly cold.

As far as we know, nobody was injured.
