Choirul Anam said that the rehabilitation process that took place inside was filled with records of physical violence that resulted in the loss of life.

“Everyone who goes there has a goal of rehabilitation. The place is rehabilitation but it’s not licensed. We get the pattern, we get the time, we get the infrastructure to carry out violence, we get information about our tools, we get context information about why the violence happened, we also get the people.” We got it,” he explained.

According to Choirul Anam, the cage which is claimed to be a place of rehabilitation does not actually have a permit. The death toll in the cage is thought to be more than one. Because Komnas HAM found the graves of the occupants of the cage in a number of places.

“The victims were buried in several places. It means more than one victim,” he explained.

Meanwhile, the North Sumatra Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Panca Putra Simanjuntak added that the results of the preliminary investigation turned out to be victims who died as a result of being mistreated in cages.

“We are still investigating the information related to the loss of this person’s life. The findings are the same. We have found the burial place. We found more than one,” said Panca.
