KWAZULU-NATAL – After the discovery of the Golden Mountain in the Congo, South Africa has now again been invaded by thousands of treasure hunters in the village of KwaHlathi in the province KwaZulu-Christmas South Africa to find gemstones or diamonds.

News of the discovery of the stone then became contagious among residents and social media.

So far, geologists have not analyzed the mysterious rock found.

Authorities have instructed residents at the scene to leave the area to allow inspections to be carried out.

The local government also posted a video showing the surroundings on Twitter, voicing concern about the incident dubbed ‘ diamond fever n‘.

According to the local government, it recorded reports of illegal mining activities taking place in KwaHlathi, Ladysmith.

Another clip shows locals washing dirt from the yellow metal and collecting it in other containers.

“A video from the Republic of the Congo documents the biggest shock to some of the country’s villagers, when an entire mountain filled with gold was discovered! They dug up the gold deposited soil and brought it to their homes to clean up the dirt & extract the gold ,” Ahmad Algohbary, a freelance journalist, wrote on Twitter as he shared the video.
