The customer profile is young, digital and buys their first home.
During the first quarter of 2021, a total of 96,051 home mortgages were signed, compared to 104,219 that were signed in the same period of 2020. Of these, 55% of the mortgages constituted on homes have been at a fixed rate. In this context, Silvia Escámez, CEO and co-founder of Prohipotecas, highlights that these figures “are very favorable considering that the problems derived from Covid-19 did not begin until March of last year.”
According to the data managed by this organization, the customer profile is young, digital and buys their first home. Likewise, the average interest rate is 2.53% and the average term is around 24 years. Regarding the average amount of mortgages, in April it increased by 11.4% compared to the same month last year, standing at around 139,464 euros.
