By the end of this year, the LTE signal should cover the metro in the wider center of Prague.
Since last week, the high-speed LTE network has covered 33 Prague metro stations, with a total of 61 stations. Most recently, the signal was triggered in Chodov, Háje and in the adjacent tunnels. By the end of November, the LTE signal will be added on route C and in Opatov, the Transport Company of the Capital City of Prague announced. Prague (DPP).
After the inclusion of Opatov, the high-speed network will be available to passengers in the entire section of route C from Nádraží Holešovice to the final station in Háje.
DPP, a consortium of operators (O2 Czech Republic, T-Mobile Czech Republic, Vodafone Czech Republic) and CETIN are working to expand the LTE network in other parts of the Prague metro. During November, the Národní třída and Náměstí Republiky stations should be covered, thanks to which the LTE signal will be in the entire section of route B from Smíchovské nádraží to Českomoravská. In December, passengers will also see the LTE network at the Náměstí Míru, Nové Butovice and Hůrka stations. By the end of this year, the LTE signal should cover the metro in the wider center of Prague.
Early next year, the network will be expanded to Flora, Radlická and Jinonice stations.
