More than half of the Dominican population already has two vaccines against COVID-19

The office of the Vice President of the Republic reported through the Instagram account VacúnateRD that so far 13,412,773 doses of vaccines against COVID-19 have been placed.

6,776,919 people have received the first dose, while 5,382,559 have received two doses and 1,253,295 have received the so-called booster dose or third dose.

In percentage terms, 64.32% of the population to be vaccinated has already received the first dose, while more than 51.09% have already received both doses. And 11.90% have three doses against COVID-19. However, the goal of the vaccination plan for people to be inoculated is 70%.

This percentage, according to the 2010 Dominican Republic Census.
