A Quinnipiac University poll found that the majority of Floridians disapprove of President Joe Biden’s work; however, reactions turn partisan regarding the rating given to the Democrat’s work to date.
The context: The news joins a poll conducted a week ago by FiveThirtyEight and RealClearPolitics, which showed that for the first time since taking office, Biden had an approval rating of less than 50%.
- In the Quinnipiac University study, 53% of the participants gave negative ratings to the development of the responsibilities of the Democrat.
- 40% supported the work of the president, while 7% of the participants expressed doubts and indicated not being sure that he did a good job to date.
The data: Partisanship marked the distance that separates one group from the other. 87% of Democrats valued Biden’s term, while 91% of Florida Republicans said that Biden’s work has not lived up to expectations.
- As for independents, the numbers weren’t encouraging for the Democrat, who saw 56% disapproval.
- The poll, which took 889 voters, was conducted amid Afghanistan’s political crisis, the top item on Biden’s political agenda to date.
