A survey commissioned by “Reuters”Concluded that 57% of Americans want to see Donald Trump, president of the United States, out of the White House immediately.
The poll, which took place on Thursday and Friday, also found that 70% of Trump supporters in November condemned the invasion of the Capitol when Congress confirmed Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 presidential election.
Also about 70% of respondents disapproved of the outgoing US president’s actions – his term ends on January 20 – before the invasion of the Capitol on Wednesday, which caused five fatalities.
The publication also reports that, according to two sources, Democrats in the House of Representatives may hold Donald Trump responsible for misconduct, resulting in a second impeachment.
In a statement, Democratic leader of the lower house, Nancy Pelosi, said that “if the president does not step out of his own will, Congress will act”.
