A 28-year-old Dutchman has been sentenced by a court in Spain to 11.5 years in prison for grooming a 13-year-old girl from La Coruña. He forced her to make sex videos. If she didn’t, he would show a sexually explicit photo of her to her family and friends.
According to the Spanish newspaper The voice of Galicia the man came into contact with the girl via Instagram and pretended to be a minor. After possessing a photo of her, the man revealed his true identity and began to extort her into making more images and videos.
The girl’s mother noticed that something was wrong, after which she took a look at the girl’s phone and discovered the abuse. She filed a tax return in 2020.
The police managed to track down the perpetrator, in collaboration with the international investigation organization Interpol. A European search notice was issued and the man was arrested in the Netherlands in 2021 and extradited to Spain.
